Stanton, Del. - Sean Semenetz continued his stellar play this fall by earning medalist honors at the Scotty Duncan Memorial Invitational hosted by Delaware at White Clay Creek. Semenetz finished with a one-under-par, 143 in the two round event and was the only golfer in the 16-team field to finish at par or better for the tournament. Semenetz has shot par or better in six of the seven rounds he has played this fall. As a team, the Dragons finished seventh just four shots behind sixth-place Penn and six shots better than eighth-place Temple.
Semenetz opened the tournament with an even-par 72 in the first round before firing a 71 in the final round. The junior was three shots behind Iona's Sean Curtain after the first round but played steady golf to overtake Curtain. The Gaels would go on to tie Cornell for first overall.
Steve Ransom and Patrick Hardin both finished at 156 for the tournament, tied for 26th place among all players. Hardin fired an opening round one-over-par 73 in his first appearance of the season. Myles Vlachos finished with a 163 while Steve Kidron carded a 168.
